The Chemistry department was introduced in the year 1974-75. The Department of Chemistry endeavors to be recognized model for educating and graduating students to compete and contribute to the ever-changing, technology centered world of the 21st century. The technologies evolved in the industries are aimed at high productivity and use heavy chemicals and toxic materials. The wastes from them spoil the health of the people working in the industries and living in the cities. In Dindigul, MVM Govt Arts College for Women is the only Govt. institution, catering to the needs of all section of society. The students get a chance for exposure to modern subjects.
